Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 7 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the It’s Fine website. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please stop using the website.
1. About the website
It’s Fine is an independent blog providing personal stories, reflections, opinions, and general educational content.
The website may allow readers to contact us, submit perspectives, subscribe to a newsletter, and support the blog through third-party services.
2. Informational content only
Content on this website is provided for general information, reflection, and discussion. It does not constitute medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
Personal stories describe individual experiences and should not be treated as instructions or guarantees that another person will obtain the same result.
You should consult a qualified professional about decisions involving your health, safety, finances, or legal rights. If you are experiencing an emergency or may harm yourself or another person, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis-support service immediately.
3. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the articles, branding, design, graphics, and original materials published on It’s Fine belong to the website owner or are used with permission.
You may:
- read and share links to published articles;
- quote short portions with clear attribution and a link to the original article; and
- use content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not reproduce, republish, sell, scrape, modify, or distribute substantial parts of the website without prior written permission, except where the law permits.
4. Reader submissions
When you submit a perspective, message, suggestion, or other material:
- you confirm that it is your own work or that you have permission to submit it;
- you confirm that it does not violate another person’s rights;
- you remain responsible for its accuracy and legality; and
- you grant It’s Fine a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, store, edit, reproduce, and publish the submission in connection with the website and its promotion.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your original work to us.
We may edit submissions for length, grammar, clarity, formatting, safety, and privacy. We are not required to publish any submission and may reject or remove it at our discretion.
Email addresses submitted with perspectives will not be intentionally published unless you separately give permission.
5. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity;
- submit defamatory, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or obscene material;
- impersonate another person;
- submit private information about another person without permission;
- infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- introduce malware or attempt to compromise the website;
- bypass security or access controls;
- interfere with the website’s operation;
- use automated tools to overload, scrape, or misuse the website; or
- use the forms to send spam or unsolicited promotions.
We may restrict access, remove material, or report conduct where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users, or others.
6. Editorial accounts
Editorial access is restricted to authorised users.
You are responsible for activity performed through your editorial account and for maintaining the security of your Google account and active sessions. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may suspend or terminate editorial access when necessary for security, misuse prevention, team administration, or violation of these Terms.
7. External services and links
The website may link to services operated by third parties, including Google, Beehiiv, Ko-fi, and other referenced websites.
We do not control these services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, transactions, or policies. Your use of a third-party service is governed by its own terms.
8. Support and payments
Optional financial support may be processed through Ko-fi or another clearly identified third-party payment provider.
Payments are subject to the provider’s terms and refund rules. Unless a specific product, service, or benefit is clearly offered, support payments should be understood as voluntary contributions and not purchases of ownership, investment interests, or editorial influence.
If digital products or paid services are introduced, any additional price, delivery, cancellation, and refund terms will be displayed before purchase.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that all content will remain available.
We may modify, suspend, remove, or discontinue content or features at any time. Published articles may be corrected or updated after publication.
10. No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided “as available” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, It’s Fine and its owner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or third-party services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
12. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in the website’s Privacy Policy. By submitting information, you acknowledge that it will be processed for the purposes explained in that policy.
13. Reporting concerns
If you believe content on the website violates your rights, infringes copyright, exposes private information, or is otherwise unlawful, contact us with:
- identification of the material;
- its location on the website;
- an explanation of the concern; and
- sufficient contact information for us to respond.
We may request additional information before acting.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
Any dispute should first be raised through the website’s Contact page so that both parties can attempt to resolve it informally. If it cannot be resolved, it will be handled by a court or other competent authority in Kenya, subject to any mandatory rights available under applicable law.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the website, its services, or applicable law.
The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website after an update means that the revised Terms apply from their effective date.
16. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the Contact page on this website.
